So the Swiss Teams has started now with all the players involved.
There was a definite theme to session 1 – on two hands 6H was cold, but it proved very difficult to bid.

After the relaxing sightseeing on Wednesday, we got back to a full day of bridge on Thursday. The playing room at the Pace Park Hotel is well lit, spacious and comfortable, with responsive air conditioning.
The fire alarm only sounded for about 40 seconds this morning. Unfortunately, it was at 3:19am so we all had another disturbed night.
For day three of the EBU Overseas Congress, sponsored by First for Bridge, the group ventured to the nearby historical town of Treviso (pictured above). It was also the final of the Swiss Pairs, which was won by Joy and Irving Blakey (pictured). Tournament Director Chris Benneworth covers some highlights from the day below:
