Shivam Shah

Shivam, 25, started learning bridge at the age of 7 when he was taught by his father. His most notable achievements are winning silver medals in the 2003 World Schools Pairs Championship and 2010 World Youngsters Teams Championship, in addition to silver and bronze medals at the 2017 World Youth Open Championships. After 14 years of representing the English U21 and U26 teams, those 2 accomplishments in 2017 gave him the perfect ending to junior bridge.

He was recipient of the 2011 and 2013 (co-recipient) Young Player of the Year awards, and the 2011 Young Pair of the Year award with Basil Letts. He has won the English Under 26 Pairs Championship twice (2009 and 2013).

He graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2013 and has been working at Deloitte in London since then. His hobbies revolve around anything to do with sport, whether it be playing or going to watch live events (an Arsenal season ticket keeps him occupied every other weekend).
