Dimmie Fleming Award citation - 2008

Roger has been at the sharp end of Norfolk Bridge for almost 50 years. He has actively supported every new initiative to widen the support for bridge. A past President and also past Chairman of the County he is currently Chairman of the County Tournament sub-committee and of the Norfolk Congress committee.

He served as an EBU Board Director for a year and has been a national selector and his name is synonymous with the running of the Eastern Counties League. He has been for some years one of the delegates (now shareholders) to the EBU Council.

Roger has been a leading light in the staging of three old style Camrose matches and the prime organiser of two very successful Corn Cardis matches. Norfolk Bridge will have been undoubtedly lessened without his energetic and always helpful involvement.
