I will be teaching standard Acol (weak no trump) and using English Bridge Union student packs which contain full notes and information. The course will assume no previous knowledge of bridge or any other card game. It will be a practical course, based on Bridge for All designed by the English Bridge Union, with the emphasis on playing the game and having fun.

Bidding Refresher Course - on October 14th

Fast paced, condensed and intensive
Intended for people who have played bridge in the past and want to return to the game. It will cover all aspects of basic bidding as used by the average player at a bridge club. Each section will cover a summary of the bidding followed by a play session. It will be assumed that people who attend will have played bridge before and will be able to play the cards with minimal assistance.
The course will be based on ACOL (weak no-trump and three weak twos).
Four sections -
1NT and responses
Suit openings and responses
Overcalls and doubles
Pre-emptive bids and strong hands
The day will include a mixture of lectures and exercises with four play hands at the end of each section
At the end of the course you will be able to join a local club offering supervised play
