EBU Simultaneous Pairs – Prize Structure

The new prize structure was introduced on 1st January 2014, replacing the previous prizes. Overall winners: The overall winners of the EBU Spring and Autumn Simultaneous Pairs, and the British Simultaneous Pairs Events will now each receive a cash prize of £50 per pair. Unfortunately there is no cash prize for the overall winners of the Bridge England Sims or the Club Stratified Sims. Heat winners: The winners of every heat – i.e. the pair which achieves the best score within their club in any event – will be entered into a prize draw. This includes the heat winners of all EBU organised events – i.e. the EBU Spring and Autumn Simultaneous Pairs, the British Simultaneous Pairs Events, the Bridge England Sims and the Club Stratified Sims. The draw will be made at the AGM in November. The prizes are: 1st prize - £1000 per pair 2nd prize - £500 per pair 3rd prize - £200 per pair plus 15 additional runners-up prizes of £100 per pair Club winners: Every club which enters a heat of any EBU organised event will be included in this prize draw, with one entry for each heat held.
