England's representatives were sixth in the European Champions Cup which took place in Pezinok Slovakia, online via BBO, over the weekend.
England were represented by the winners of the 2019 Premier League, Janet De Botton, Tom Townsend (Captain), David Bakhshi, Espen Erichsen, Glyn Liggins & Artur Malinowski. The team were unlucky to miss out on the semi-finals by just one VP.
The competition can be likened to football's Champions League, with Europe's twelve leading countries represented by the winners of their domestic competition. The winners were Bergen Akademiske Bk of Norway, who beat the Swiss team Bridge Contact Club in the Final. Thor Erik Hoftaniska, EBU London member was part of the winning Norwegian team.
