The Silver Plate, the consolation event for the Gold Cup, has been won by the Curtis team.
The Silver Plate is for English or Welsh teams defeated in either the first or second round of the Gold Cup. Scotland has a separate consolation event, the winners of which drop into the Silver Plate at the quarter-final stage.
The 2021 Silver Plate involved 54 teams. The final, played last week was between the English Curtis team and Scottish Hay team. The Curtis team of Catherine Curtis, Paul Fegarty, Jonathan Mestel & Paul Barden beat the Hay team of Jim Hay, Sandy Duncan, Robert McPaul & Derek Peden by 32 IMPs.
